The Beginning

Rhow

Known as a ministry with a strong emphasis on the Word, Praise and Worship, and Community Missions, Redeemers House of Worship “The House” was founded by Pastors Ralph and Sharon “Shay” Holmes at their home on May 3, 2013 with 12 people in attendance. RHOW was established on the central vision of going back to the basics – God’s Redemptive Plan “Loving God and Loving His People.” The basis of this ministry is to move in total faith and trust in God.

Redeemers House of Worship was established as a Non-denominational Church of Christian believers with the concept of striving to be mature and complete in Christ. Our faith and trust in God, connection to the vision, and consistent financial support of the core partners enabled the ministry to lease the building at 7410 Westchester Dr. Belleville, IL. Our first official worship service took place, June 9, 2013!

We love what the Lord is doing at RHOW! We believe the church is the hope of the world. When Jesus is the Head and believers operate by faith, as His body—He lives, breathes, saves, forgives, heals, fills, touches, teaches, equips, delivers, blesses and loves people! We’ve watched Him do it in the beginning and we’re looking forward to all that He has planned for the years to come!

On September 13, 2013, with the help of the Lord, a lot of prayer and fasting we entered into a lease with an option to buy agreement. As the ministry grew, on March 7, 2015, we were able to purchase the building at 7410 Westchester Dr. Additionally, on May 15, 2016, the Lord enabled us to purchase the land adjacent to us for future growth and expansion. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!

Over the years, we’ve heard people say things like this about their experience at RHOW: “It was fun; it didn’t feel churchy.” “I finally understand the Bible.” “I learned how to forgive.” “I found Jesus.” “I felt accepted.” “My kids love going to church.” “God healed me.” “Our marriage is better.” “I discovered my purpose for being alive.” And one of our favorites: “On my first visit, I heard the Lord say, ‘Welcome Home.’”

We exist to encourage all people to pursue a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ. Our history briefly dates back to 2013, when a small group of people trusted the vision given to their pastors.
